Sciaps Z-901 Li LIBS Analyzer is the world’s only handheld that analyzes lithium in rocks, ores, and powders. In use globally for lithium exploration projects, with no travel restrictions or licensing headaches.
The Sciaps Z-901 Li LIBS Analyzer complements handheld XRF because it is especially good at measuring low atomic number elements—including those too light for handheld XRF:
- Lithium in rocks, ores, and powders.
- Light elements in soils and ores, full suite including Li, Be, B, C, F and Na.
- Total organic carbon in agricultural applications.
- Beryllium in soil or other materials as an environmental contaminant.
Sciaps Z-901 Li LIBS Analyzer Features
- Optimized Lithium Analysis: Specifically factory-calibrated for low-level lithium detection in various geological matrices like micas and clays.
- Argon Purge System: Utilizes user-replaceable argon canisters (on-board) to improve signal-to-noise ratios, enhancing detection limits for elements in the UV range.
- Laser and Camera: Includes an internal camera for precise, targeted analysis, a secondary “macro camera” for documenting samples/reading barcodes, and a 50 Hz laser that can raster over the sample for better averaging.
- Performance: Features a 380–680 nm spectral range, designed specifically for Li-related emissions.
- Portable and User-Friendly: Weighs approximately 3.87–4.35 lbs (with battery) and features a rear-facing color touchscreen for ease of use in the field.
- Connectivity and Software: Operates on Android with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS for data exporting, paired with Profile Builder software for creating custom calibrations.
- Safety and Durability: Classified as a Class 3b laser but allows for Class 1 operation (subject to local LSO approval) via a patented sample sensor. It has a rugged metal body designed for field use.
